Gaiia
This guide includes instructions for creating API credentials in Gaiia to connect your tenant to Layer 9.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- Administrator access to Gaiia (able to manage API keys)
- Ability to create an API key with scoped permissions
Step 1: Create an API key
Section titled “Step 1: Create an API key”- In Gaiia, navigate to Admin > API keys
- Create a new API key for the Layer 9 integration
- Set the key type to a Secret key
- Ensure the key is for the live instance
Step 2: Assign required permissions
Section titled “Step 2: Assign required permissions”Ensure the API key has the following permissions enabled.

- Billing
- Contacts
- Communications
- Equipment
Billing
Section titled “Billing”- Transactions
- Statistics
- Settings
- Delinquent
- Users
- Addresses
- Notes
- Properties
- Inventory (all inventory modules)
