Powercode
This guide includes instructions for connecting Powercode to Layer 9.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- A running Powercode instance
- Access to Powercode with administrator or owner privileges
- Ability to create users and API keys in Powercode
Step 1: Create a dedicated user
Section titled “Step 1: Create a dedicated user”Create a new user in Powercode for the Layer 9 integration. Use a memorable name such as Layer 9 so it is easy to recognize in logs and user lists.
Step 2: Grant Administrator permission
Section titled “Step 2: Grant Administrator permission”Grant the integration user the Administrator permission so Layer 9 can access the data and actions it needs.
Step 3: Create API keys
Section titled “Step 3: Create API keys”Create two API keys for the integration user:

Production — Name the key Layer9. Set the source IP address to
34.138.155.89(Layer 9’s production outbound address) so only requests from Layer 9 production are accepted. -
Staging — Create a second key named Layer9-stg. Set the source IP address to
34.23.175.53(Layer 9’s staging outbound address) for testing.
Step 4: Coordinate with Layer 9 Team
Section titled “Step 4: Coordinate with Layer 9 Team”Share the following with the Layer 9 team:
- Powercode URL — The URL you use to sign in to Powercode
- Username — The integration user’s username
- Password — The integration user’s password
- API keys — The Layer9 production key and the Layer9-stg staging key from Step 3
