Powercode

This guide includes instructions for connecting Powercode to Layer 9.

  • A running Powercode instance
  • Access to Powercode with administrator or owner privileges
  • Ability to create users and API keys in Powercode

Create a new user in Powercode for the Layer 9 integration. Use a memorable name such as Layer 9 so it is easy to recognize in logs and user lists.

Grant the integration user the Administrator permission so Layer 9 can access the data and actions it needs.

Create two API keys for the integration user:

  1. Production — Name the key Layer9. Set the source IP address to 34.138.155.89 (Layer 9’s production outbound address) so only requests from Layer 9 production are accepted.

  2. Staging — Create a second key named Layer9-stg. Set the source IP address to 34.23.175.53 (Layer 9’s staging outbound address) for testing.

Share the following with the Layer 9 team:

  • Powercode URL — The URL you use to sign in to Powercode
  • Username — The integration user’s username
  • Password — The integration user’s password
  • API keys — The Layer9 production key and the Layer9-stg staging key from Step 3
